1982/3 This is Puss Puss (yes, very original I know) He wandered in with my cat Leo one day & stayed, He was a proper lad. had half a day’s hol from work & came home at lunch time. He was limping & I thought he had hurt his paw & attempted to take him to vets via taxi. I didn’t have a proper carrier back then, so I used a suitable holdall. The zip was open enough, but he managed to get out in the taxi& I couldnt get him back in! Driver stopped car & I tried to keep hold of Puss Puss, he bit my finger; then taxidriver opened car door & he legged it. Luckily it was near to where my my Mum lived. I eventually managed to grab hold of him in someone’s garden & ran to my Mum’s. The next day his paw was fine. Alas, my ‘paw’ wasn’t & I had to go to casualty to have a tetanus shot. Also,I popped into my neighbours one day & he was sat next to her Staffordshire bull terrior enjoying some best steak! She even had taken pics of them together! lol. Puss Puss didn’t come home one day, I never found out what happened to him! Bless him!

Spiff and Charlie, they were only so-so friends with one another. But they were fantastic companions. Both are deceased. Spiff at 19years old. Charlie lived several years longer than the vet expected.
