Angel
I had restisted getting a cat for a long time. I worked most of the time and slept the rest. Angel’s arrival coincided with a change in lifestyle I hadn’t foreseen. I was won over by her clean, quiet and affectionate nature. She lifted my spirits as she made herself at home. It didn’t take long to form that pet/person bond.
She was a stray, an abandoned but friendly kitty who was reluctant to give up her wandering ways, but after a year of indoor living she no longer tries to get out when the door opens. She has been won over by regular meals and sleeping under the covers on chilly nights. She jealously guards her home against potential interlopers. Stray cats need not apply.

Merlin
Merlin is a lovely DMH/Maine Coon mix that I adopted from our mail lady when he was 6 months old. He knows just how beautiful he is and takes every advantage to pose. He always knows where everyone in the house is at all times and if someone is missing he’s underfoot, so sometimes I call him our herding cow-cat. :)
This was our first night with the babies 2 1/2 years ago…he was terribly confused and intrigued by them, but he still raised Cricket to be big and pretty and to wash her face after she eats!

Great photo of Angel! One of my favorite cat poses.
