Bela
My Bela is 13 yrs old and was adopted from a shelter in 1996. He was all alone in his crate and they told me he was the runt of the litter. The moment we left the shelter he accepted me as his ‘mom’ and the rest is history.
He is the most loving cat, although he can be wild, running through the house and jumping on everything. He is so quick and is great at jumping far and high. He loves to sit on the top of the bathroom door when I take my shower and is not afraid to let me know when he is upset because I am not lavishing attention on him. He is very spoiled!
Bela sleeps with me every night, either laying over my neck, on my head or just laying across my legs, he has to be ‘on’ me all the time. He is my best friend and we have seen a lot together. In 2000, I made him a snow cat when we moved from Fl to VT. Although he is an inside kitty, he is a great hunter catching his fair share of lizards, bugs, snakes and mice.
He is the most beautiful black cat there is. He is very tall and long, very sleek and has the longest tail and largest ears I have ever seen on a cat. I think the shelter workers got it wrong when they said he was the runt.
I believe Bela has some Siamese, Oriental, and maybe a bit of Egyptian Mau in him.

Runner-Ups

Gryffindor
My family got Gryffindor 5 years ago, and he used to be just over 11kg, but now he is on a deit, he has got diabetes, and he used to have itchy skin, but since he has a very special oil in his food to stop himself from scratching too much, he just gets cuter and cuter each day, whenever he has been alone for a long time, whoever arrives home he comes running towards the front door, and when you sometimes sit at the table, he jumps up on the table and makes himself at home!
