What Type of Food Do Your Cats Eat? [Poll Results]

What an interesting poll!  Though it lasted a tad more than a week (2.5 weeks to be exact), the results speak for themselves.  Who would have thought?

What type of food do your cats eat?

What type of food do your cats eat?

It looks like NOBODY who voted home-makes their cat’s food.  I would have expected at least a few dedicated cat owners that abstain from purchasing food from stores – but not a single one.

It is also interesting to note how wet food came way under dry food in the running.  Does that mean most of us think dry food is better for our cats than wet food?  Tell us your opinion in the comments below (after voting in this week’s poll, of course!).

My cat eats both dry and wet. I leave a bowl with dry for him all the time and he gets some wet food whenever he wants it, which is all the time. I have spoiled him rotten. I do buy the ‘good’ canned food. At 13, he is still going strong, jumping and running around like a mad cat :)

  2. Natalia Telha says:

Same as Kimberly here. Theres always dry food on her bowl and I give her wet canned food 3 or 4 times a day. Sometimes I give her meat, but not everyday.

  3. Sarah says:

Mine always have dry food out since it’s better for their teeth than a purely wet-food diet, but our old one gets cheap-ish wet food whenever he wants it so that we can keep some weight on him…he was really skinny for a while but he’s doing much better now that we feed him separately. Of course, if he doesn’t finish it, the others will, and they don’t need the extra calories!

My cat eats Meow Mix dry food and EverPets wet food. I give her wet food every other day because I belieave, just like humans, that when cats eat wet food they poop alot.
