Max
Owner: Richard Rhyme from Toronto, Canada
Max is nervous and jumpy, like a cat on caffeine. He enjoys shedding projectile fur, dragging his water dish across the floor, and being very handsome and dashing in his elegant poses when he knows he is being watched. He used to only ‘chirp’ as a kitten, but has learned to mimic his brother Oliver and can now, 10 years later, meow in a very Bjork sort of way.
Runner-Ups:
Casper (owner: Jon Dickinson from Dorset, UK)

Max passed away yesterday after bravely fighting off heart disease, failing organs, and the loss of his buddy Oliver last year.
He was a fighter right up to the end, determined to overcome the fluid filling up his lungs. He was diagnosed in the fall of 2009 and given a few months to live. He outlived all of our expectations, and he is finally struggling no more.
He spent his last morning enjoying the sky, the breeze, and nibbling on plants on the balcony. I hope he is finally at rest and has found his buddy Oliver, who he missed so much.

Oh Richard, I'm so sorry to hear about Max. He is surely with Oliver, there is no doubt in my mind. You have had so much loss this year. Please let me or any of us at EverCats know if we can do anything for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
