Sake

I had a cat for about 17 years – my one and only from childhood through college. After her passing it took about a year to realize that something was missing in my life. I needed a new cat!

While looking at all of the homeless cats at my local Humane Society I finally set my eyes on Sake. Unlike all of the kitties meowing and looking at me for attention, Sake was grooming himself and probably felt like he didn’t belong in such a place. I’ll admit he’s a bit of a snob but I guess I am as well so we hit it off and he has been a naughty, happy, little fluff-ball kitty ever since.

See him in his bow-tie? He’s my corporate kitty >^..^<

Jett

Jett to me is the perfect cat. Lovable, playful, athletic, has never missed the litterbox, and is very good with people of all ages. She loves to sleep under the covers at night and to watch TV with you in the evenings. She loves laser pointers. Right now she has no brothers or sisters, but I hope to find one for her as soon as I am able. :)

Spots!

Spots!

My name is Spots! I was adopted by a great family about 2 years ago because my owners could no longer keep me. I like to eat, eat, eat, and sleep in what should be a baby bassinet but I have claimed it as mine and I make this funny face when someone tries to take me out of it. I am a silver bengal and am quite chubby and large! I like attention, and my favorite pal is Tyler because he pets me every chance he gets.

Monk and Mao, Daily Cat Winner of 11-3-2009

Monk and Mao

Monk and Mao

Mao is the handsomest kitty boy ever. He was kind of a surprise. My grandparents got him from someone who was giving away kittens in front of a grocery store, but had to find a new home for him after my Grandpa had had a few falls. Mao LOVES nudging legs and feet they thought he might end up tripping Grandpa. A few months later, Grandpa ended up in the hospital and I went to Utah to visit him. I met this naughty leg-loving cat and I instantly fell in love. Two days later, he was my passenger for the 8-hour drive back to Denver. Now he sits in the window and waits for my car to pull up. He meets me at the door and talks to me while he rubs on my legs until he tips over. He also loves to play fetch. When he’s really relaxed, his mouth starts to hang open and his shiny black bottom lip sticks out. It’s the strangest thing!

Monk is my apple-headed Siamese mix girl. Mao and I were getting ready to move out of the boyfriend’s condo into a place of our own and I decided to get him a friend before we moved. I was afraid he would get lonely while I was at work, and thought having a kitty friend might ease his transition into the new house. I rescued Miss Monk from a family who was going to take her to the pound because one of the children was allergic to her. You’d never guess it now, but she was the skinniest little thing when I picked her up! She’s now quite round, and has the funniest little short legs. She’s also surprisingly quiet for a Siamese. Her favorite thing to do is chase my shadow around the kitchen, and she’ll let me carry her around like a baby until my arm can’t handle it any more. I love these two to pieces!
